Griha Shiksha is an Indian homeschooling program designed for children from LKG to Grade 3, preparing them for seamless entry into Grade 4 under the Right to Education Act (2014), which guarantees age-appropriate admission in schools. This program blends structured learning with flexibility, focusing on a child's holistic development. Learning at Griha Shiksha goes beyond textbooks. Its activity-based approach promotes deep engagement through play, exploration, and creativity. The curriculum emphasizes strong family bonds while fostering emotional, intellectual, and moral growth.
1) Outdoor activities are integral, enhancing physical health, independence, focus, and environmental awareness. These activities also integrate subjects like math and science in playful ways, enriching learning through visual and tactile exploration.
2) Arts and crafts foster creativity, cultural appreciation, emotional expression, and fine motor skills.
3) Storytelling improves language, empathy, imagination, and attention span. It supports literacy while making moral values and emotional intelligence accessible and memorable.
4) Puzzles and worksheets offer cognitive stimulation, reinforce academic concepts, and encourage independent learning and critical thinking. These tools also support tracking progress and developing focus.
5) Devotional studies shape character and inner resilience. Rooted in values, this element nurtures mindfulness, purpose, and ethical integration across subjects—strengthening both personal faith and family bonds.
6) Conversation and creative writing component cultivate self-expression, analytical thinking, and writing fluency. Through journaling, storytelling, and imaginative tasks, learners gain confidence and voice.
Griha Shiksha is not just a curriculum—it’s a nurturing ecosystem where children grow with balance, purpose, and joy.
