What If Learning Could Begin with a Child’s Curiosity?

At Griha Shiksha, learning begins with curiosity and grows through meaningful experiences. Our theme-based curriculum connects different areas of learning, allowing children to explore, create, communicate, count, move and discover—all around one engaging theme.
Take our “Insects” theme for LKG. Children discover ants, butterflies, bees, spiders and more while building early language and numeracy skills. They learn the letter A/a and its sound, practise the number 3, enjoy rhymes and stories, create insect-themed crafts, use playdough and everyday materials for sensory learning, and solve puzzles involving counting, patterns and sequencing. Learning even moves outdoors as children observe insects, imitate butterflies and explore a butterfly’s life cycle.
This variety gives children opportunities to discover and express their abilities in different ways—through language, numbers, creativity, movement, observation and hands-on exploration. Most importantly, parents are not simply observers. They become active partners in the learning journey, adapting activities to their child’s pace, interests and readiness.
Meaningful learning does not always need a classroom. Sometimes, it begins at home—with a question, a discovery and a parent beside the child.

If you could redesign one part of your homeschool, what would you change—and what would you introduce instead? Let’s learn from each other!
